Q: Are our Comfort and Fit staff professionally trained?
A: Yes. Ourstaff are professionally trained. Some travel overseas to gain knowledge of the latest products and technology. Our staff are also members of the Australian PedorthicMedical Grade Footwear Association.
Q: I am a war veteran. Can I get shoes from you?
A: We are an authorised provider for medical grade footwear through the Dept of Veteran Affairs. Please check your entitlements with the DVA in your state. Call 13 3254 to be connected to your nearest DVA state office.
Q: Do I need a referral?
A: No. However, a referral does help us to provide you with a correct product. Also some health funds do require you to have a referral.
Q: Do I get anything back from my health fund?
A: Some health funds do provide benefits. We have provider numbers for the major health funds. Please check with your health fund first.
Q: Do you have dress shoes for orthotics?
A: Yes. We have a very wide range of dress shoes and walking shoes specifically designed to accommodate orthotics and other forms of supports such as AFOs (ankle foot orthosis).
Q: I have one leg shorter than the other. Can you build the shoe up for me?
A: Yes, but you would need a referral to advise us of the difference in leg length. Also, we will need to closely examine the structure of your shoe to see if the shoe can take the build-up.
Q: What size range do you have?
A: We go as small as a size US3 and up to US12 for women and US18 for men. We have widths from 4A narrow up to 5E wide. We also have extra depths in our footwear
Q: What are the opening hours for the Comfort & Fit locations?
A: Please refer to the individual store details listed on our locations page.
Q: Do you do home visits?
A: Yes. Home, hospital and nursing home visits can be arranged by appointment. Please contact your local store.
Q: My feet are two different sizes. Can you help me?
A: Yes. Our professionally trained staff can fit you with the correctly sized shoe for each foot.
Q: Can you provide me with custom made shoes?
A: Yes. Please contact Sydney HO for appropriate Store Locations.
Q: Does Comfort and Fit have amodification &repair service?
A: Yes. Every store offers this service.
